Funeral Services Conducted Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Gagstetter of the Van Tassell community were held Sunday afternoon at the Peet chapel.

Mrs. Gagstetter, who has been in poor health for a number of years, passed away at the Spencer Hospital on June 23rd.

Last rites were conducted by Rev. Millard H. Marshall. Ed Seegrist, Ed McKelvey, Lawrance Haller and Winfred Seegrist carried Mrs. Gagstetter to her final resting place.

Music was furnished by a quartette composed of Gerald Bardo, Palmer Watson, Yvonne Vogel and Patricia Taylor, with Mrs. J.P. Watson at the organ.

Elizabeth Mall was born at Bradford, Lee County, Ill., on May 7, 1863, and departed this life on Wednesday, June 23, at the age of 80 years. She was the only daughter of Joseph and Magdalena Mall. She grew to young womanhood and was married to Samuel Gagstetter on June 8, 1899, at Sublette, Ill. To this union three children were born. The family made their home in Sublette until 1909, when they moved to Phillip, S.D., and in March, 1910 they moved to Wyoming, homesteading on their present family home four miles south of Van Tassell.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two sons, Ray of Van Tassell and Roland now serving in the navy, and one daughter, Mrs. Edna Schnorenberg of Lusk; also three grandsons, Richard Schnorenberg of the Navy, and Leslie Schnorenberg of the Army, and Walter, Jr., of Lusk; two brothers, Herman Mall of Ashton and Samuel Mall of Dixon, Ill., besides a host of other relatives and friends. Her father and mother and two brothers preceded her in death.
