C.J. Tackett Dies On West Coast
Word of the death of C.J. Tackett was received in Lusk the past week. Details are meager, the message stating only that Mr. Tackett had been found dead in bed Thursday morning, Jan. 22. The Tacketts reside at Richmond, Calif., but Mr. Tackett's position required that he travel considerably, so it is not known whether he passed away at home or elsewhere.
Mr. and Mrs. Tackett formerly resided in Lusk and Mr. Tackett was well known. He was engineer for the State Highway Department here, and did surveying work for several oil companies throughout the State.
He is the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rosson of Lusk, and Mrs. Rosson has been spending the winter at her daughter's home.
Surviving him is his widow Charlotte (Rosson) Tackett and three children.
