Death Notice

Ada Lucille Wright, 93, passed away at Niobrara Health and Life Center Mon., Dec. 23, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Mon., Jan. 6, 2014 at Pier Funeral Home in Lusk, with Pastor Tom Strock officiating.

A full obituary will follow.

Ada L. Niehaus Wright


Memorial services for Ada Niehaus Wright were held at Pier Funeral Home Mon., Jan. 6, 2014, in Lusk, WY, with Pastor Tom Strock officiating. She died at Niobrara Health and Life Center Dec. 23, 2013. Cremation has taken place.

She was born to Frank and Sarah (Miles) Niehaus at Powell, Wyo. on April 2, 1920, on her Dadís homestead, Park County, Wyoming. She went to 12 grades of school in Powell.

Ada married Wilbur F. Wright in Billing, Mont. June 2, 1939. Wilbur and Ada moved to Lost Springs, Wyo., in Nov. of 1940 to help Wilburís mother run the ranch. They ran the ranch until Wilburís health forced him to retire in 2003. Dale and Joan moved to the ranch in 2006. Ada loved the outdoors and always had a big garden, plus helping with the ranch work. To this union two children were born: Wilbur Dale and Zadah Ann.

She is survived by her son Dale (Joan), grandson Todd, granddaughter Anita (Jim) Witten; and two great-grandsons, Austin and Weston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and daughter.

The family would appreciate memorials to the Niobrara Senior Center, PO Box 928, Lusk, WY 82225-0928.
