Cole Dies in Wyoming

Funeral services for James L. Cole, 44, of Torrington, Wyo., who died Wednesday, January 4, 1984, at Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne, were held at 10 a.m. January 9, at the Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington with Pastor Vern Ekerholm officiating. Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg. A Memorial was established to the family.

He was born December 15, 1939 at Loveland, the son of Edwin and Jewel (Clark) Cole. He grew up at Lusk, Wyo., and was employed as a truck driver for some time.

On February 11, 1977, he married Janice Mitchell in Rapid City, S.D. They lived in Torrington for the past seven years. Mrs. Cole will be moving soon to Ovid.

He is survived by his wife, Janice, of Torrington, a son, Jimmy Trout of Torrington, five daughters, Penny Lay of Lusk, Kathy Shoopman of Arapahoe, Wyo., Cheryl Cole, Jewel Cole, and Jamie Cole, all of Lusk, a step-daughter Cynthia Golder of Alliance, Nebr., a step-son, Robert Swain of Rawlins, Wyo., five brothers, Edwin Cole, Jr., of Upton, Wyo., Peter Cole of Bozeman, Mont., Bill Cole of Lusk, John Cole of Osage, Wyo. and Robert Cole of Evanston, Wyo., five sisters, Eunice Schmidt of Keystone, S.D., LouAnn Predmore, Maxine Eutsler and Dorothy Cole all of Osage, Mary Bowman of Roggen, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
