FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR KENNETH DEGERING SUNDAY

Kenneth DeGering, 16, died Thursday afternoon at the Lusk Hospital, following an emergency operation for a ruptured appendix the preceeding Sunday. His condition was critical when he entered the institution, and though everything possible was done to save the boy, he succumbed a few days after the operation.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, May 28th, at the congregational church in Lusk, under the direction of the Peet Mortuary, with Rev. Millard H. Marshall, Pastor, officiating. A quartette composed of Mr. J. M. Hungate, Mrs. Robert Taylor, Mrs. H. J. Templeton, and Mr. Ford B. Kuns furnished the music, singing "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "Does Jesus Care," and "Meet Me There." Pallbearers were: Jim Meng, Neil Sprague, Hugh Gunn, Don Hoffman, John Christian, and Joe Mashek.

Those who mourn his passing are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert DeGering of Hat Creek, brothers, Milton, Leonard, and Johnny; sisters, Viginia, Nellie, and Esther, besides other relatives, and many friends.
