Former Lusk School Girl Dies In Oregon
Mrs. Pearl Reneicke (Reinecke) of this city received word last week that her grand-daughter, Mary Alice McCarthy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan McCarthy of Woodburn, Oregon, had passed away at a Portland hospital, May 26th. She had been a sufferer of leakage of the heart and was 13 years old at the time of her death.
Mary Alice had graduated from the eighth grade this spring at the Woodburn school. The McCarthy family moved to Oregon from Lusk about two years ago. Besides the father and mother she leaves to mourn her loss two sisters, Wyonita and Rosaella and one brother, Percy. Her grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Reinecke, an aunt, Miss Alice Reinecke and an uncle, Dan Reinecke of Lusk. Mrs. Elmer Griffith of Laramie is another aunt. Burial took place in Woodburn.
