Patricia “Pat” Rodgers of Veneta, OR, and Soldotna, AK, died in Eugene, OR, on March 10, 2014. Pat was born in Laramie, WY, on December 20, 1936 to William Brown and Victoria Tuma Brown. She lived in McFadden, WY, and moved with her family to Lance Creek, WY, during her youth. She attended Manville High School, where she was a cheerleader and played clarinet in the high school band. She married John Bernard Rodgers on August 8, 1953, in Casper, WY, and they had three children.
Pat moved with her family to Anchorage, AK, in September 1968. She worked as a school cafeteria cook and supervisor and retired in Kenai, AK, in 1991. Pat and her husband spent summers at their river property in Soldotna, AK, and winters in Bullhead City, AZ. In 2006 they purchased a home in Veneta, OR, and continued to spend summers at their property in Soldotna, AK.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Mark Allen Rodgers. She is survived by two children, Vickie Rodgers Cisewski(Gary) of Veneta, OR, and Mike Rodgers (Mary) of Portland, OR; one grandson, Joshua Cisewski of Silverton, OR; and one sister Genevieve Taylor of California, MO.
Pat enjoyed cooking, bowling, embroidery, and spending time with her family.
Services will be held on March 21, 2014 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home, 244 S. Brooks St., Sheridan, WY, followed by burial in the Elks Memorial Cemetery in Sheridan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elks Memorial Cemetery.
