Funeral for Aunt of Mrs. West held here Tues. Afternoon

Funeral service was held Tuesday at 2:30 at the Peet Chapel for Miss Josephine Marie Abeln, 84, who died in the Mt. View Tower Nursing Home in Cheyenne April 14.

The Rev. Robert Boutwell of the Congregational Church conducted the service with Mrs. J.P. Watson, organist.

Casket bearers were Bill Schieck, Tim Schieck, Brett West, Gary West, Richard Montgomery and James Meng. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Miss Josephine Marie Abeln was born in Delores, Colo., on May 31, 1888. She grew to womanhood in that area of Colorado. In 1924 she moved to Laramie making her home with her sister, Mrs. Marie Logsdon and her family of four children, Carroll Logsdon presently of Carlsbad, California, Chester Logsdon, Laramie, Maxine Schieck, Casper, and Rosamond West, Lusk.

For many years she was the owner and operator of a small cafe in Laramie. After selling her cafe in the early 1960's she became a cook at the Tri Delta Sorority House in Laramie. Later in the 1960's she fell breaking her hip and entered the Mt. View Tower Nursing Home in Cheyenne where she remained until her death.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Marie Logsdon of Douglas, and Mrs. Rose Vizina of Salida, Colo.
