Funeral services for Tillie Parmely, 88, will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Lusk with Pastor Tom Strock officiating. Interment will be at the Lusk Cemetery.

Annie ‘Tillie’ Myrup Parmely was born Nov. 6, 1925, the 5th of 7 children, and left this world July 10, 2014. Her parents were Chris and Millie (Olds) Myrup. Tillie was raised and went to grade school in the Hat Creek area and she attended high school in Lusk.

Tillie and Clifford Parmely were married Sept. 4, 1942, and to this union were born two children: Paul and Carol.

Tillie spent her entire life in Niobrara County. Her only time outside of Niobrara County was when she went to Florida for a couple of months in 1943 when Clifford was stationed there with the U.S. Army.

She was an active member of the Manville Homemakers for well over 50 years, and attended the First Baptist Church in Lusk. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Tillie is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Parmely; her parents; brothers Lester Myrup, Alfred ‘Tuffy’ Myrup, and Donald Myrup; and sisters Dorothy Mashack, Laura Rathbun Alexander, and Betty Johnson.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Pam) of Manville and Carol Smith of Arlington, Tex.; grandchildren Perry (Nikki) Parmely of Scottsdale, Ariz., Chance (Tayna) Smith of Arlington, Tex, and Brandon (Liza) Smith of Fort Worth, Tex.; and great-grandchildren Brieana Smith and Kierstan Smith.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or to Memorial Hospital of Converse County.
