Funeral services for Bill Steinle, were held February 2, 1988 at the first Baptist church at Douglas. He died January 30, 1988 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

He worked several years for his brother-in-law Earl Slagle doing dirt work and his wife Connie worked at the Julius Peterson home prior to their marriage. Mrs. Steinle was killed in a car accident two years ago.

Survivors include four daughters, Sherri, Mary Jane, Dawna and Jackie; his mother, Mary Steinle; one brother, Carl Steinle and a sister, Mrs. Earl (Betty) Slagle. He is also a cousin of Mrs. Clayton Dixon.

William Ernest Steinle, 58, died Saturday, January 30, 1988 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper following a short illness. He was the son of Ernest William and Mary (Riehle) Steinle. He was reared and educated in the Dry Creek community in northern Converse County. He worked on various ranches in the community and did custom fence building for various ranches in northern Converse County. He was married to Constance (Connie) E. Whiting on August 1, 1965 in Douglas. The couple settled on a ranch in the Dry Creek community and he ranched until the time of his death. He is survived by his mother, Mary, of the Dry Creek community; his four daughters, Sherri Kay, Mary Jane, Dawna Rose and Jackie Eddine Steinle of the family home in the Dry Creek community; one brother, Carl J. Steinle of the Dry Creek community; one sister, Betty Ann Slagle of Newcastle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest, on October 8, 1979 and his wife, Connie, on May 8, 1986.
