LUSK -- Funeral services for Betty Allen, 88, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Congregational Church. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. She died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at her home in Denver. Pier Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Donations may be made to Wyoming Alzheimer's Association, 2232 Dell Range Blvd., Suite 220, Cheyenne, WY 82009.

Betty Allen passed away Tuesday November 3, 2015 in Denver, CO and came home to Lusk for a memorial service and burial on Monday, November 9, 2015.

Betty was the oldest of seven children, born July 9th, 1927, in Torrington, WY to Aaron and Helen Trimmer Lincoln. She is preceded in death by brothers Ronald, Keith, Larry and Gerald Lincoln, and one sister Shirley Lincoln Smith.

Betty loved Lusk, Wyoming and lived 86+ years in the area, including, Jireh and Keeline as a child. She graduated from Lusk High School in 1945 and married William (Bud) Allen in 1946.

Betty had a successful career working for Otto Klemke Insurance Agency, James Barrett, Law Office, and Continental Oil Company in Lance Creek before she and Bud purchased the Pioneer Court Motel in 1959. For the next 25 years Betty and Bud worked side-by-side at the motel before retiring in 1984.

She leaves behind her husband Bud of 69+ years, son Robert (Bob), daughter Kim and son-in-law Paul Olstad all of Denver, CO, her sister Linda Lincoln Cowden of Rock Hill, SC and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty loved life and cherished her family and friends.
