Funeral For Fred Bryant Held Fri.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Peet Mortuary for Fred Alvin Bryant, 74, who died July 8 of a coronary thrombosis. The Rev. Fred Bolinger of the First Baptist Church of Lusk officiated. Odd Fellow services were conducted. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. A. F. DeCastro and Mrs. Dean Glandt, accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson on the organ, sang "This World Is Not My Home" and "In The Garden."

Casket bearers were James Heth, Bud Jensen, Ed Cook, Bud Hoblit, Ennis Crofutt and Glen Crofutt.

He was born June 21, 1895 to John F. Bryant and Candis F. Meyers. At the age of 15 he moved with his family to a homestead northeast of Hat Creek. Here he grew to manhood and filed on a homestead a few miles from his parent's home.

In 1917 he joined the military service and served overseas with the 8th Infantry Company D.

He married Sylvania Howell on June 28, 1919, and they were the parents of seven children. Mrs. Howell died in 1959.

Mr. Bryant married Hattie Brown August 5, 1961 at Gering, Nebr.

His wife Sylvania, one daughter and one son died previously.

Survivors include his widow Hattie of the family home; three daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Iris) Cline, Grand Prairie, Tex.; Mrs. Evelyn Guibault, San Clementi, Calif.; Mrs. Lawrence (Verva) Crofutt, Lusk; two sons, Howell F., Hat Creek and John W., Douglas; two brothers, Wilbur of Denver and Elvin (Ted) of Powell; nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons; nieces, nephews and friends.
