Mrs. Fred Bryant Dies Here Sunday; Services Wed.

Mrs. Fred Bryant, 58, of Hat Creek, died Sunday in the Spencer Hospital from complications following surgery. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel with Rev. Otha B. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Dean Long, soloist, sang "In The Garden". Mrs. Carl Peterson and Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb sang "This World Is Not My Home". Mrs. Lester Meade was organist.

Pallbearers were Lester Meade, Max Heth, Lou Osborn, Marvin Jensen, Pat Miller and Ed Cook.

Sylvania Pearl Howell was born April 11, 1901 to George A. and Margaret Ann Howell at Bristow, Neb. She moved with her parents from Nebraska to Burke, S.D. where they lived until her father died in 1910.

Her mother then moved the family to Wyoming where they homesteaded near Hat Creek in 1911. Sylvania Howell and Fred A. Bryant were married June 28, 1919. They then made their home on his homestead which was her home at the time of her demise.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters: Mrs. Virgil Cline, Ardmore, Okla.; Mrs. Eugene Guibault, San Juan Capistrano, Cal., and Mrs. Lawrence Crofutt, Lusk; two sons: Howell Bryant, Hat Creek and John Bryant, Kremming, Colo.; two sisters: Mrs. John East, McMinnville, Ore. and Mrs. Charlie Zimmerman, Reedsport, Ore.; nine grandchildren and numerous other relatives also survive. A son, George A. Bryant, was killed on Luzon while in the service of his country and a daughter, Donna Lee died in infancy.
