Iva Eveline Roby Butler

Iva Eveline Roby Butler, 86, passed away at United Medical Center in Cheyenne on Jan. 1, 2002.

A memorial service was held at the Congregational Church of Lusk on Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at 11:00 a.m.

The family requests that memorials be sent to the Lusk Congregational Church Scholarship Fund or to the Lusk Volunteer Ambulance Service.

Iva was born on Feb. 20, 1915, in Crawford, Neb., to John Howard and Mary Perry Roby. She married Bud David Butler on Oct. 20, 1930, and they made their home in Lusk, remaining there the rest of their lives. Bud and Iva had four children: David, Berdina, John and Alan.

Iva was very active in her lifetime and was a devoted member of the Congregational Church of Lusk. She also belonged to several lodges and clubs, including Eastern Star. Rebekahs, VFW, and the Node Homemakers Club.

Iva was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; son David; her parents; and her sister, Ada Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Berdina A. Butler-McCabe of Torrington; sons John Elden Butler of Tucson, Ariz. and R. Alan Butler of Arvada, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
