Edwin C. Cole
Edwind (should be Edwin) C. Cole, long-time Lusk resident died at the Waston (should be Weston) County Nursing Manor in Newcastle Sunday.
Edwin Cole was born December 21, 1908, at Alva, Okla. He was raised in Kingman, Kan., and worked as a ranch hand and truck driver for many years in Kansas and Colorado. He married Jewell Clark in Belliville, Kan., June 17, 1926. Cole moved to Lusk in 1948 where he lived until moving to Newcastle in recent years.
Funeral service was being held this Wednesday at Peet Mortuary Chapel, the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Organist was Minerva Watson with Mark Lohr singing "Cross the Bar."
Interment is to be at Lusk Cemetery. Casket bearers are John Jassman, Paul Heany, Vern Modine, David Jassman, James Pfister and Ted Davies.
Cole was preceded in death by his father, his wife, and five brothers. Survivors include his mother, Minerva, Zarapath, N. J.; one brother, J. Dean, Zarapath; seven sons, Michael, Evansville, Edwin Jr. and James, Riverton, William, Dickinson, N.D., Peter, Bozeman, John, Osage, Robert, Rock Springs; and five daughters, Maxine Etler and Dorothy Cole, Osage, LuAnn Giles, Zap, N.D., Eunice Schmidt, Keystone, S. D. and Mary Bowman, Evanston.
