Vera Mae Cox

Funeral service was held December 27 at Peet Mortuary Chapel for Vera Cox, 65, who died suddenly at the family home in Lusk December 24.

Vera Mae Kintigh was born September 24, 1915, to Mae and Warren Kintigh at Miller, S. D., spending her early years in South Dakota. In 1926, the family moved to Wyoming and settled at Keeline. She graduated from Manville High School and on June 12, 1935, married Clifford Cox. They have resided in Lusk since 1938.

Mrs. Cox was a member of the Open Bible Church, holding several offices. She was also and active member of the Rebekah Lodge of Lusk and had held many offices and had been financial secretary for many years.

The Rev. Keith Putney and Rev. Frank Bozart officiated at the funeral service. Edna DeCastro was organist and Mark Lohr sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden."

Active bearers were Larry Eddy, Paul Heany, G. L. Pfeifer, Floyd Bartos, Ray Edwards and Harold Rogers. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her daughter who died at birth and a son Glen who died in 1962 at the age of 24; her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors included her husband Clifford of Lusk, one sister Erdine Couch of Oral, S. D., and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces; two aunts, Mabel Parmely of Miller and Clara Parmely of Lusk.

Memorials may be sent to the heart fund.
