Former Resident is Killed in Accident
John Doherty, 65, resident of Gillette for nearly four years, was found dead last Monday morning after his pickup rolled over into a ravine near Gillette. He was last seen Saturday evening.
Mr. Doherty was a former resident of Lance Creek and operated a garage and repair shop while here. Funeral services were held in Gillette last Thursday. Burial was made in Omaha. He is survived by his widow, Esther and a sister, Mary Doherty, of Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Groves and Joe Morton attended the services.
