Ollie Damrow, Long Time Goshen Co. Resident, Dies Wed.

Ollie Herman Damrow, 71 of 2834 West A Street, Torrington, died at a Torrington Hospital December 31, 1969 at 3:15 a.m. Born at Adams, Nebr., Sept. 3, 1898, the son of William and Abbie Miller Damrow, he came to Goshen County from Benkelman, Nebr., with his parents in 1914. He homesteaded and ranched 24 miles north of Fort Laramie prior to moving to Torrington in 1965.

He was married to Virginia Sturman at Lusk, Wyoming, August 31, 1924 and she preceded him in death on March 16, 1963.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and of the Modern Woodmen.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Nunyon of Arvada, Colorado four sisters, Mrs. Frank Johnson of Fort Laramie, Mrs. Frank Beal of Wheatland, Mrs. Willis Scott of Torrington and Mrs. Fred Ford of Cheyenne. He is also survived by four brothers; Herman of Portland, Oregon, Arthur of Torrington, Lloyd of Fort Laramie, and Ray of Eugene, Oregon. Two grandchildren also survive and one brother preceded him in death.

Services were held at the United Presbyterian Church in Torrington on Saturday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Moyer officiating and interment in Valley View Cemetery.

The Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
