Russell E. Duckworth
Graveside services for Russell E. Duckworth, 86, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1992, in the Lusk Cemetery with Rev. Allen Kallenbach officiating.
Duckworth died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1992, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. He was born June 12, 1905, at Dover, N.J., the son of John and Annie Duckworth. As a young man he moved to Kansas where he farmed and ran a feed store.
He married Mary Wolf on Aug. 14, 1924. In the early 1950s they moved to Loveland, Colo., where they owned and managed a motel until their retirement in 1972. In 1985 they moved to Lusk. His wife died in 1986. For the past few years, he has lived with his daughter, Donna Link, in Tucson.
He loved working with leather and was a licensed taxidermist.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
survivors include one daughter, Donna Link of Tucson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many friends.
Bader-Peet mortuary of Lusk was in charge of arrangements.
