C. A. David Dies in Denver Fri; Services in Lusk

Claris Ariel David, 75, died Friday, Jan. 30 at the General Rose Hospital in Denver. Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. The Rev. Delbert Dick of Wheatland officiated.

Mrs. Richard Korns, organist accompanied Mrs. Hobart Cockreham as she sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Near to the Heart of God."

Casket bearers were Ed Boner, John DeGering, Horace Graham, Hank Montgomery, Henry Wasserburger Jr. and Jim Wasserburger.

Honorary bearers were Jack Pfister, Joe Pfister, Paul Pfister, Herbert Sabin, Evertt Bird, Henry Wasserburger Sr., Albert DeGering, Dan Hanson, Si West, C. E. Marvin, Hobart Cockreham, James Meng and Ted Jones.

He was born February 1, 1894 at Brokenbow, Custer County, Nebraska to Fanny and James David. He grew into manhood in Nebraska and attended school at Crawford and York, Neb.

January 26, 1913 he married Elva Rizor at Harrison. For several years they made their home in the Harrison community. In 1917 he filed on a homestead north of Lusk where he lived for 50 years. On October 1, 1967 he and Mrs. David moved to Denver

Mr. David was affiliated with the American Sunday School Union.

His parent, one daughter Virginia Crandell, three brothers and two sisters died previously.

Survivors include his widow Elva of Denver; four daughters, Irma Palmer, Genevieve David, Florence Kavanaugh, all of Denver; Shirley Geist of Aurora, Colo.; one son Richard David of Denver; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
