C.O. Butch "Pink" Pinkerton

C.O. Butch "Pink" Pinkerton, 66, of Cheyenne, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 27, 1944 in Lusk, Wyo., to Clarence Asa and Florence McQueen (Bedford) Pinkerton. Butch has lived in Wyoming his entire life, from his early years on the family ranch outside Manville, WY until he moved to Cheyenne 1970.

Mr. Pinkerton married Lorraine (Schutt) Williams on March 23, 1968, they had three daughters, Candice, Carleen and Carin. They were later divorced. He was employed with the Wyoming Highway Department as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years.

Butch loved playing cribbage and enjoyed bowling; he was a member of the Skunk Hole Cribbage Club and the American Bowling Conference.

Survivors include his companion June Pafford, Cheyenne; three daughters, Candice McCart, Cheyenne; Carleen Gregory, Roy, Utah; Carin (Carl) Riley, Victorville, CA; seven grandchildren, Ashley Knight, Roy, Utah; Amanda Knight, Cheyenne; Becki Russi, New Cambria, Kan.; Codie Gregory, Roy, Utah; Jesse and Jaymes Riley, Victorville, Calif.; Jailey McCart, Cheyenne; and a sister Mildred (Dick) Ladwig, Manville, Wyo..

He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per his wishes, Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, and Private Family Services are being planned.
