“The Legacy of Wyoming,” performed by Buffalo Bill Boycott and Dr. Jo will be presented at the Congregational Church, 120 E. 5th St., on Sunday, April 19 at 1:30 p.m. This musical event will feature Wyoming and western songs about cowboys, the Oregon Trail, the Transcontinental Railroad and Lewis & Clark. The concert will also include stories in traditional Native American Indian sign language, cowboy poetry and world-class yodeling. Mark your calendar today!

“Riders of the Purple Sage” is the final film in the “Celebrating Cowboys” Dinner & Movie series and will be shown on Monday, April 27 at 6 p.m. Jim Lassiter seeks the man responsible for his sister’s death. His quest draws him into an insular community ruled by an uncompromising charlatan and his brutal riders. The film is based on Zane Grey’s novel of the same name; a light meal will be available. Library programs are free and open to the public.

Pajama Storyhour on Wednesday, April 29 will feature all things spring! Plan to bring your children for this event which is held from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Nick Petrie’s latest Peter Ash novel is “The Dark Time.” Investigative journalist Katelyn Thorsen usually shrugs off death threats. However, this time she’s told that if she doesn’t back away from a story she and her daughter will be killed. Enter Peter Ash – former Marine and current protector of last resort. Peter’s a man who’s always risen to every challenge, but from the moment he arrives it’s clear that the forces at play are more insidious and the stakes far higher. This one may be too much even for him. “The Dark Time” is also available digitally in Libby.

Other new fiction books are “Her Forgotten Shadow” by Pamela Fagan Hutchins, “You’re the Duke I Want” by Lenora Bell, “Seven Legends West” by Will Henry, “Training the Heart” by Paisley Hope, “The Heir of Whitestone” by Catherine Coulter, “The Best of Enemies” by William W. Johnstone and “The Moonlight Runner” by Karen Robards. There is a new young adult 4-book series now available by Andrew Klavan entitled “The Homelanders.”

Among the newer non-fiction books are “The Let Them Theory: a Life-Changing Tool That Millions of People Can’t Stop Talking About” by Mel Robbins and “Ain’t Nobody’s Fool: the Life and Times of Dolly Parton” by Martha Ackmann.

The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles “Beyond the Far Horizon” by Carolyn Leiloglou and “The Grimmelings” by Rachael King. Among the newer easy books are “A Perfect Day for Digging” by Cari Best, “Help Me Find My Hamster” by Brooke Hartman, “Pete the Kitty and the Beanstalk” by Kimberly Dean and “Whooo is Still Awake?” by Brigette Barrager.

“Little Green Froggy!” is the theme for Storyhour on April 21, 2026. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday throughout the year for preschool-aged children. The Friends of the Library sponsor the 24/7 storyline, Dial-A-Story – call 307-334-3274 anytime to hear a recorded story!
