The Fireants

  Sunday, October 17 The Fireants will be performing at 1:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church. The Fireants play a variety of music of the Americas—Cajun Creole, Tejano and Norteño, Quebecois, Basque, Colombian Coastal Cumbia, Trinidadian Calypso, and Brazilian Forro.  Also included will be some swing from the U.S. and original tunes and some tunes that the band has rearranged from traditional sources. The band is comprised of Cindy Baker, bass and vocals; Caitlin Belem, fiddle, guitar, alto sax, and vocals; Margo Brown, percussion, piano, and vocals; Courtney Caplan, guitar and vocals; and David Romtvedt, button accordions, trumpet, and vocals.
