The library will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in honor of Veterans Day. Regular hours resume on Wednesday, November 12 at Noon.

Pajama Storyhour will be held on Wednesday, November 12 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The Thanksgiving-themed event will be full of fun, stories, activities and crafts! Plan to attend.

There are a few spaces left in the Paint @ the Library on Wednesday, November 19 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The project is hanging painted eggs; call the library at 307-334-3490 to secure our spot.

“Sharp Force” is Patricia Cornwell’s latest novel. Early Christmas morning Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta is summoned to Mercy Island, the site of a notorious psychiatric hospital where two people have been brutalized – one from her past. This serial killer, known as the Phantom Slasher, has been terrorizing northern Virginia for months. No one is safe – not even Scarpetta. “Sharp Force” is available digitally in Libby.

Other new fiction books include Jane Kirkpatrick’s newest “Across the Crying Sands,” “Manhunter’s Moon” by Wayne D. Dundee, “Denied Access” by Vince Flynn and Don Bentley, “Kiss Her Goodbye” by Lisa Gardner, “Desolation Creek” by William W. Johnstone, “Gone Before Goodbye” by Harlan Coben and Reese Witherspoon and “Calder Strong” by Janet Dailey.

Uncommon Favor: Basketball, North Philly, My Mother, and the Lessons I learned From All Three” by Dawn Staley and “The Topographic Map Mystery: Geology’s Unrecognized Paradigm Problem” by Eric Clausen. “The Infinite Glade” by James Dasher is among new young adult books.

The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books “Hula For the Home Front” by Kirby Larson and “Mystery James Digs Her Own Grave” by Ally Russell. Several of the newer easy books are “The Big Mess and Other Stories” by Greg Pizzoli, “A Tale of Two Tigers” by Trent Talbot, “The Mouse and the Sea” by Heidi St. John, and “A Stone Sat Still” by Brendan Wenzel.

There will be no Storyhour on November 11, 2025 as the library is closed. Pajama Storyhour will be held on Wednesday, November 12 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday Storyhour resumes on November 18 from 10 to 11 a.m.
