Plan to attend the Wyoming Piatigorsky Spring 2026 Tour in Lusk on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church, 120 E 5th Street in Lusk!
Featuring Mezzo-Soprano Katherine Calcamuggio Donner and Pianist Gabriel Evens. This free event is sponsored by the Muriel & Seymour Thickman Family Charitable Foundation and coordinated by the Wyoming Arts Council and the Niobrara County Library.
Since 1990, the Piatigorsky Foundation has introduced the joy of live classical music to communities across the country, performing more than 3,500 concerts in schools, senior centers, hospitals, libraries, and other non-traditional venues. The Foundation’s Wyoming tours—presented in partnership with the Wyoming Arts Council—deliver unforgettable musical experiences to rural and underserved communities through intimate performances that are free and open to the public.
Each concert is designed to be informal, accessible, and engaging. Piatigorsky Foundation musicians are selected not only for their exceptional talent, but also for their ability to connect with audiences through storytelling and interactive dialogue. Performances last about an hour and are tailored to fit the needs and interests of each audience—whether it’s a group of schoolchildren or older adults in a retirement community. Concerts are hosted in familiar, welcoming spaces such as community centers, churches, and schools, making classical music more approachable and enjoyable for all.
Wyoming tours by the Piatigorsky Foundation are made possible by the generous support of the Muriel & Seymour Thickman Family Charitable Trust in Sheridan.
