Friday, September 11 Do Art Productions will present a “Bead Art Workshop” for all ages at 1 p.m. Attendees will create characters, animals, and jewelry of all kinds and colors with all styles of beads. Everyone will go home with their own creations – plan to attend this fun event and as always library programs are free and open to the public.

Award-winning western songwriter Kerry Grombacher is returning to Lusk to present his “Songs & Stories of the American West” concert on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. Mark your calendar for this concert that will be held at the Congregational Church, 120 E. 5th St.
A debut novel by Ashli O’Connell is entitled “Emmaline.” In 1856 Emmaline Kendall and her parents, desperate for a better life, join a company of Morman emigrants bound for Utah territory. The journey west is brutal and not all survive. When Emmaline reaches the settlement in the Rocky Mountains, she learns the truth -she has been promised as a polygamous wife to a powerful man twice her age. The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter books “Stories of a Family” this Little House chapter book is adapted from the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder and “Sleepless” by Gordon Korman. New picture books include “Biscuit Goes Camping” by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, “Tova’s Sweet Solution” by Melissa Taylor, “Henry Upside Down” by Jenn Bailey and “We Are All Ears” by Jonathan Fenske.
