The early release movie for Wednesday, October 26 will be the classic Halloween family film, “Hocus Pocus” featuring Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. The fun begins at 1:45 p.m. The movie is rated PG and 97 minutes; the library will provide popcorn, please bring your own drink.

The free resource, Career Transitions, available through this website, is a guided, step-by-step approach to planning and making your next career move including resume building. The library has several public access computers available, so stop by soon to take advantage of this resource. Outside of the library you’ll need your library card number and PIN. Andrea Cremer’s “Nightshade” is now on the YA shelf.

New adult non-fiction books are “Living with Your Exchange Student” by Ina Cherington, “Macarons” by Annie Rigg and “In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and a Family in Hitler’s Berlin” by Erik Larson.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books: “Doorway to Adventure: Tales of Imagination” by various children’s writers including June Willson Read and “Watch Wolf” by Kathryn Lasky. A new picture book is “Every Cowgirl Needs Dancing Boots” by Rebecca Janni.
