Valeri Anette Golden
Valeri Anette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Golden, born at 6:46 a.m. Sunday at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital, was the first baby born in Niobrara County in 1959.
She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. at birth. Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Himes of Lusk are the maternal grandparents and Mrs. Blanche Sydick of Lushton, Nebr. and Fred Golden of Lisco, Nebr. are paternal grandparents.
Mr. Golden works on his father-in-law's ranch 25 miles north of Lusk.
Because Valerie Anette is Miss Niobrara of 1959 she is entitled to prizes which were advertised in The Lusk Herald last week. Merchants offering prizes included Archie's Dairy Bar, Ben Franklin Store, Budget Food Mart, Cannon Studio, Hiway Super Service, Kilmer Creamery, lyon's Golden Rule, McKnight's, Quality Shop, The Flower Nook, Safeway, Scott Jewelry, Stockman's Naterional Bank, The Westerner, Willard Drug, York's Bakery, and The Lusk Herald.
