Becky Ann Watson, born at 2:00 a.m. Jan. 2 at the Spencer Hospital in Lusk and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arley Watson of Lance Creek, was the first baby born in Niobrara County in 1952. She weighed six pounds and six ounces at birth.
Thus this baby wins the fine array of prizes offered by 16 Lusk merchants in the "First Baby of the Year Contest." Maternal grandarents are Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Johnson of Lance Creek.
The 1952 "First Baby in Niobrara County" was a girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Arley Watson of Lance Creek at 2:00 a.m. The little miss weighed six pounds, six ounces and has been named Becky Ann.
