Boy Lohr
Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Lohr of Hat Creek are rejoicing over the arrival of twins, a girl and a boy which were born on Monday, Feb. 8. Both mother and babies are getting along fine.
Twins Arrive Ahead of Doctor Who Goes Out Via Horseback - Dr. Walter E. Reckling had his first experience answering a professional call last Saturday by way of the bronc route.
The doctor received an urgent call to come to the Harley Lohr ranch near Kirtley. His faithful Ford is not yet equipped with wings to fly over the snowdrifts, so he left his car at the Lee Shrum ranch, and with a competent guide, made the rest of the distance aboard the hurricane deck of a snorting bronc, grain-fed.
The doctor was such a poor horseman that a pair of twins arrived at the Lohr home about an hour ahead of the M.D. The doctor gives his opinion of the wild ride on page 2 of this issue. If the horse could talk, he would probably have a far more thrilling story to tell.
