COZY CORNER INN BOARDING HOME OPENS ITS DOORS

Sunday saw the grand opening of Cozy Corner Inn Boarding Home and Adult Daycare in the old hospital building on 3rd Street. Sixty-five guests celebrated the combination and birthday party for Wyona Overman, 85. Overman is one of the first two resident of the new boarding home. Mildred Tyrrel, who had been living in Torrington's nursing home, also moved into the new facility.

Kathy Jensen of Lance Creek is the owner/manager of Lusk's new option in senior living. She has carried the dream of opening a senior boarding home for many years, since working for Niobrara's former nursing home. She did not want to compete with the nursing home while it remained open, but when it closed she knew there were seniors who could stay in Lusk if they had a place to live which offered assistance with the more difficult aspects of independent living.
