CAMPGROUND UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

Recently under new ownership, the Prairie View Campground is expected to undergo upgrades to the road and individual campsites by the coming winter months.

Jane Filenor and her husband Bruce took over the campground back in June while looking for a pace to live themselves. She said they didn't really perceive acquiring the site as a business. "We were just looking for a place to live around Lusk. So we bought this and it hadn't been maintained for quite some time. So we really didn't think of it as a business. Once we started cleaning people started stopping and asking if we were open. So we decided we are." Filenor said laughingly.

Located off Highway 20, roughly a mile and a half outside of town, Prairie View sits on four-and-a-half acres, and can accommodate almost any size camper.
