The Midwest Skelgas Company was established in 1929 and was one of the first propane dealerships to be set up in the United States. The Lusk plant is one of four of plants in the region, and includes Newcastle, Gillette, Wyoming and Tiago, N.D.

Midwest Skelgas Stock is Sold

As of February 19 the active management of the Midwest Skelgas Company was transferred to Wyton Oil and Gas company through the sale of stock.

The business will continue to operated with the Midwest Skelgas name and George Mordock of Lusk will remain as manager. Mr. Mordock is also a stock holder. George Gibson was to have been on the board of directors. 

Former Lusk resident and former Niobrara County Attorney Edward S. Halsey is secretary-treasurer of the Wyton. Harry Knight of Newcastle and Denver is Wyton president.
