Member Spotlight: Hiway Brake and Alignment is owned and operated by Jim Santistevan. Jim purchased the store at 105 West Second Street from Jake and Doyle Davies in 1976. Jim has always had a love for cars and had worked for the Davies for seven years, and they encouraged him to purchase the building when Jake retired. Now Jim would like to sell his business so that he can retire in the near future. The building was expanded in 2004 and with the flood of 2015, Jim is still replacing some equipment as funds allow; however, Jim states that he is recovered and appreciates all the help given to him and others during the clean-up phase. Jim has one other employee in addition to himself, and they specialize in alignments, brakes and mechanical repairs, transmission flushes and much more .
