New Building to Replace 71 Year-Old Liquor Store
The Lusk Liquor Store building is being torn down and being replaced by a modern cement block building. The building which is being torn down is nearly as old as Lusk itself and Bill Wasserburger, a workman on the building, found a handbill dated July 23, 1886 pasted on the interior of one of the walls.
The new building will be 25 by 50 feet with a basement 25 by 20 feet. The old building was 20 by 40 feet without a basement. The new building will include a small bar in the rear. During the construction the business will be operated from the Petz building in the quarters formerly occupied by the Gambles Store.

The Lusk Herald, February 20, 1958
The newest addition to the Main Street of Lusk is the Lusk Liquor store building which was recently completed for Mr. and Mrs. Roger Percival.
This building replaced one of the oldest buildings in Lusk. While the old frame building was being torn down and the new structure built, the business was housed in the Wyoming Theatre building in the quarters formerly occupied by the Lusk Gambles store.
