Emily McKelvey Buys Best Cafe From Goldens
The BEST CAFE in the Lusk business district was sold by Hugh and Francis Golden to Emily McKelvey. The transaction was effective Friday, Feb. 3.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Golden and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Golden have operated the business since Sept. 1, 1947. They purchased the business from Mr. and Mrs. Warren Schroefel.
The name of the business will remain the same under the new management.
Mrs. McKelvey owned and operated the cafe in 1944 and 1945. She originally purchased the business from Mrs. Mabel Best and sold it to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stiles. Stiles sold the cafe to Schroefels and they in turn sold it to Goldens.
