New Piggly Wiggly Store to Open Monday, September 30th

With carpenters and painters putting on the finishing touches of the newly remodeled Barrett building, stock is being moved in and placed on the shelves and on Monday 30th the Piggly Wiggly store will hold its big opening with Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Armintrout as manager and checker respectively, Claude Redding, well known Lusk young man will be in charge of the vegetable department and LeRoy Scheer of Lusk will operated the meat department of the new and complete grocery and market. Mr. Scheer has operated the Lusk Quality Meat Market in Lusk the past two years and is well known to the residents of this trade territory .

Andy Wray is owner of the Piggly Wiggly store here and in the past several years has established an enviable record in the grocery and market business in Scottsbluff where her operates a store under the same franchise. The Piggly Wiggly stores were first established at Memphis, Tenn., in 1920 and were the first stores to bring the self-serve, cash and carry to the shopping public.

During the past twenty years the Piggly Wiggly stores over the nation have been leaders in the grocery and market field, merchandising nationally advertised brands at the lowest prices consistent with quality foods. 

The new Lusk store has been especially remodeled for the operation of the new store, the display shelves and stands being arranged for the convenience of the public. Mr. Wray and the managers, Mr. and Mrs. Armintrout, Claude Redding, and LeRoy Scheer invite their friends, the general public to call at the store and make their acquaintance, and the enjoy the advantages of shopping the Piggly Wiggly way. An opening announcement will be found elsewhere in this issue of The Herald.
