This winter the library’s Dinner & Movie series will feature award winning films by the prolific Woody Allen. Forty years into his career, writer-director Woody Allen was questioned at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival by critics who wondered whether moviemaking had become a habit as opposed to a passion. The then nearly 70-year-old Allen answered with his typical dry humor. Allen told the critics that filmmaking served as a diversion from his personal terrors and neuroses, which he had yet to conquer. “I make them because, if I don’t make them, I don’t have distractions,” Allen said.
A light meal is served at each of the films and discussion is led by Deane Tucker, PhD, Chadron State College.
