  • Date(s): Monday, January 25th 2010
  • Time: 6 p.m.
  • Location: Niobrara County Library

A four-film and dinner series, featuring plots that tie into the book “Wife of Moon” begins on Monday, January 25 at 6 p.m. with the film, “Blowup.” Thomas, a successful fashion photographer comes upon a mysterious couple in the park while scouting for fresh subjects in “Blowup.” Returning to his studio loft later that day, he develops the pictures and discovers that he has inadvertently stumbled upon a murder. Writer/Director Michelangelo Antonioni is not interested in the details of the murder itself, as in a typical detective story, but rather with how the protagonist’s perception of the world, and his relationship to it, is altered by this event.

Deane Tucker, Professor of Humanities at Chadron State College will facilitate the film discussions which will include participants from Wyoming Women’s Center.

This series is funded in part by grants from the Niobrara Recreation District, the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Niobrara County Library and the Niobrara County Library Foundation.
