RIF – Officer Buckle and Gloria

The Friends of the Library will be presenting the first of three Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) programs on Wednesday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. “Officer Buckle & Gloria” by Peggy Rathmann will be presented as a skit; children will all be able to select their very own book to keep and there will be crafts and snacks included in the fun. Founded in 1966, RIF is the oldest and largest children’s and family nonprofit literacy organization in the United States. Through community volunteers throughout the U.S. RIF provides 4.4 million children with 15 million new, free books and literacy resources each year. For more information call the library at 334-3490.
