Lusk Cornet Band 1895

When the passenger trains arrived in Lusk in the early days this band was on hand to greet the visitors. It also played on other special occasions.
Names on the back of this early photo loaned to The Herald by Mrs. Ihla Anderson gives the identification as: Will Demmon, Frank Deuel, Lum Barber, Lawrence Johnson, John Schmidt, Willie Bishop, D.E. Goddard, Frank DeCastro, Dannie Goddard, Bert Hancock, Brownie Hancock, Bill Hobbs, Harry Milburn, Jack Milburn.
The slope of the hill in the background indicates that the photo was taken near reservoir hill.
