Mrs. Vernon Chard was elected vice-president, George Chard secretary, and Mrs. Henry Styles treasurer. Directors are: one-year term, Mrs. Walter Tyrrel; two-year, Nick Kaan Jr., three-year, Mrs. Blanche Schaefer.
Already 26 members have paid dues. Local dues were set at $2 per member and state dues are $3.50 per individual membership or $5 per couple. Only 15 are required for a state charter.
A regular meeting date was not set but will be considered along with other organizational matters at a meeting which will be set by the officers and directors.
At the meeting Monday considerable concern was expressed over the building of a more adequate museum in Lusk Mrs. Hoblit has been compiling a list of scattered graves in Niobrara, and those present were able to give her the location of several. She will welcome information on others.
With the formation of the Niobrara Chapter, only one Wyoming county, Hot Springs, is without an organized historical society. Curtiss Root of Torrington, State Historical Society present, attended the meeting and assisted in the organization.
