Funeral Held for Arthur Estler

Funeral services for Arthur Louis Estler, who died October 9 in Crawford, were held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Crawford Methodist Church with the Rev. Gerald W. Gear officiating. Burial was in the Crawford Cemetery.

Mr. Estler was born May 5, 1893 in New York City, the last of ten children. In 1911 he came to Harrison as a boy with his widowed mother to live on a brother's ranch. He was married to Florence Munz at Harrison on June 14, 1922. They moved to Crawford in that same year. He was employed for the greater part of his life by the Gate City Hotel, Knapp Grocery, Kennedy Market, and at the Post Office at the time of his retirement.

He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Woodmen of the World, and the American Legion, being a veteran of the First World War

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Swendsen; two brothers, Robert of Flushing, Long Island, and Bernhardt of New York City; one sister, Mrs. Elsa Munz of New York City.
