Greene, Wesley J.

Funeral services were held for Wesley J. Greene, 92, a long time resident of Torrington who had a ranch near Hat Creek.

He is survived by his wife, Martha of Torrington, three sons; Wilton of Fort Collins, Colo., Harris of Jay Em and Alton of Commerce City, Colo. Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Greene was born at Mount Holly, Vt. on June 5, 1885. His family moved to Hemingford, Nebr. in 1903 and to Lander in 1906. Greene served in the U.S. Army during World War I.

He was married on Sept. 20, 1922 at Harrison, Neb. and the couple lived in Marsland, Neb. where they ran a service station until 1936. They lived in Scottsbluff, Neb. until 1947 when they moved to Torrington.

Services were held at the Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington with the Rev. Lonnie B. Johnston officiating. Burial was in Hemingford.
