Jack E. Pryde

Jack E. Pryde, 62, of Yuma, Ariz., died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, in Phoenix, Ariz., due to complications of a stroke. He was born Dec. 10, 1943, in Lovell to Almy and Pearle Pryde.

When he was six years old, his mother died, and he and his sister lived with their grandparents, Louie and Irene Franks. He attended Lovell schools until 1961, when his grandmother died. He then moved to Lance Creek to live with his Uncle Francis, Aunt Wilma and cousin Kay Pryde. He graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1962.

He married Laura Breding on July 22, 1967, in Spokane, Wash. The family moved to Thermopolis where he worked in the retail business for many years.

Mr. Pryde moved to Yuma in January 1989 and worked for AriMex Pump and Supply until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents: Louie and Irene Franks and Alice P. Pryde. Survivors include his wife, one son, Patrick of Honolulu, Hawaii, one daughter, Kara of Ft. Wayne, Ind., one sister, Mary Lou Perkins of Lovell and three grandchildren. Cremation has taken place.
