Linnie Grove long-time teacher dies.

Funeral service for Linnie Virginia Grove, who died July 30 in Colorado Springs, was held Wednesday, August 3, at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk.

Linnie was born February 19, 1913, at Oran, Texas to J. A. and Ola Nanney Robinson. She was one of six children.

She attended school in Texas and graduated from Adams State Teachers College. Alamosa, Colo. She married Robert K. Grove on December 24, 1941. They had two children, Maxine and Thomas.

Mrs. Grove was a dedicated teacher and taught in schools in Colorado before moving to the family homestead in Keeline with her husband. In 1953 they moved to Lusk. From 1956 until her retirement in May 1977 she taught the first grade at the Lusk Elementary School.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Joe (Maxine) Riley, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son, Thomas Keith Grove of Gillette; two step-daughters, Mrs. John (Barbara) Pellegren, Littleton, Colo.; and Mrs. Richard (Cathy) James, south of Lusk; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents and four brothers and one sister.

Memorials to the Lusk Elementary School are requested.

Rev. Robert Norris, Douglas, officiated at the service. Mrs. Jane Bardo and Tim Johnson provided the music. Honorary pallbearers were Bernard Thon, Morris Zempel, Artie Joss, Jud Watson, Harvey Herder, Dick Heine, Lee Johnsonbaugh, Mick Coen and Don Barnes.
