Beatrice P. Kaper

Funeral services for Beatrice P. Kaper, 86, were conducted on May 27 at Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk by Pastor Jason Playle. Burial followed in Lusk Cemetery.

She died May 22, 2004 at the Laramie Care Center.

Born Sept. 7, 1917 in Kirkland, Mo., she was the eldest of three children of Blanc and Elmer Gormley and attended country schools in Nebraska.

On Nov. 21, 1933, she married Burton F. Kaper. They lived on various ranches in Niobrara County until purchasing a ranch north of Manville in 1952. They remained on the ranch until their retirement.

Beatrice took special interest and joy in her son's school and ranch related projects, including 4-H, FFA and Hereford cattle; and was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church in Manville for many years.

Survivors include her son, Keith, of Laramie; a granddaughter; sister, Gertrude Mitchell of St. Petersburg, Fla., and several nephews.

The family would appreciate memorials to Niobrara Senior Center or Missionary Alliance Church.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
