Victor Heckman

Services for Victor Heckman, age 65, were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 1989, in the Peet Mortuary Chapel with B.P.O.E. Lodge #1797 conducting the service. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. Heckman died Wednesday, April 12, 1989, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. He was born February 15, 1924, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Katie and Henry Heckman Sr. He attended schools in Scottsbluff and grew to manhood there.

He married Fern Bandemer on December 26, 1945, at Scottsbluff. They lived in Torrington until 1959 when they moved to Denver, Colorado. In 1961 they moved to Lance Creek and in 1965 came to Lusk to make their home. Mr. Heckman owned and operated service stations until his retirement.

"Vic" was an avid fisherman and was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #1797.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Fern.

Survivors include: one daughter, Frances Kant of Lance Creek; two sons, Harold of Glenrock and Randy, stationed with the U. S. Army at Ft. Lewis, Washington; two sisters, Rachel Korell of Lingle, Wyoming, and Leah Kruse of Lincoln, Nebraska; three brothers, Ed, Hank and Johnny all of Torrington; three grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
