Truck accident claims two lives

A truck accident at 2:30 a.m. June 9 one mile west of Manville claimed the lives to two area men.

Killed were Tony J. Gladson, 24, of Manville, and Steven A Henricksen, 22, of Lusk.

Both men died from skull fractures, a broken neck and internal injuries, according to a report filed by the Wyoming State Highway Patrol.

State Highway Patrolman Vernon Poage, the investigating officer, said the Chevy pickup, driven by Gladson, was eastbound on Highway 18-20, when the vehicle drifted across the westbound lane onto the north shoulder of the roadway. The driver apparently over-corrected in trying to get back onto the road, forcing the truck to cross both lanes of traffic, Poage said. The truck apparently then entered the south borrow area, where it went into a broadside overturn, throwing both Gladson and Henricksen out of the truck, he said.
