No funeral services will be held for Robert Elmore Stringham, 83.
Mr. Stringham died at his home in Douglas on Friday, July 28, 2006.
He was born May 30, 1923, in Norton, Kan., the son of Robert Sylvester and Nellie Grace (Thompson) Stringham. He was reared and educated in Norton and Goodland, Kan., graduating from the Goodland High School. He was married to Clara Elizabeth Owen on Nov. 3, 1943, in Concordia, Kan. He worked various jobs throughout the central and western United States. They moved to Wyoming in 1951, and to Lost Springs in 1969. He spent his retirement years in Douglas. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Clara E. Stringham, of Douglas; eight children, Robert, Carl, Alfred, Nellie, Joann, Arthur, Stephen and Myra; one sister, Mary Preston of Denver, Colo.; and several grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and one brother.
Gorman Funeral Homes - Converse Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.
